Julio Garcia Escames
Julio Garcia Escames was born in 1988 in Granada, Spain. Following his graduation from the University of Wales, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication, he went on to fulfill his Master’s degree in Film and Media Production at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles.

His passion for cinema comes from his early years. Aside from his love for cartoons, he had already watched all of Charlot’s movies and enjoyed westerns by Howard Hawks and John Ford at the young age of three. Over time, he developed an interest in all genres, with a predilection for adventure, thriller and science fiction, as a result of his fascination for films such as Star Wars, Jaws, Aliens and Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Garcia Escames has directed numerous short films, commercials and music videos. His short films have made it into a considerable amount of festivals around the globe and have won several awards along the way. One of his most recent and acclaimed projects, Klaazor, that he wrote, directed and edited, won the Platinum Award at the Fame’Us International Film Festival and has been screened in some of the most renowned festivals, including Hollyshorts Film Festival, Dances with Films, Burbank International Film Festival, Lone Star Film Festival and Savannah Film Festival, among many others.
